As Director of the Directorate of Library & Technical Services (DLTS), Mzumbe University, I would like to extend to you all an invitation to our Library, your gateway to a world of information and resources. We have an incredible team of dedicated Library staff who are tasks and results-oriented, and they are always examining every detail to make sure readers can once again enjoy in-person Library services as soon as it is safe to do so. The Mzumbe University Library fully identifies with the philosophy of the University as spelt out in its mission and vision. The Library endeavours to empower the University to attain its ambition of becoming a leading institution in Africa for demand driven knowledge generation, application, preservation and dissemination for socio-economic development by 2025. The Library is providing current timely and quality information to enhance teaching, research and consultancy programmes of the institution.

Currently, the library provides access to over 41,000 volumes of print book resources, about 700 titles of printing journals. The library also has a total of 24 subscribed and free e-journal databases, additionally, there are some copies of e-books which are accessed through a link on the Library website. Our Library is committed to delivering high-quality services to our clientele based on our core values which focus on customer care, professionalism, teamwork and observation of the rule of law.
